There were only two and the two were cingular (as Pacific Bell
Wireless and Bell South Mobility DCS) and T-Mobile (formerly
VoiceStream.) AT&T Wireless came late into the GSM game. VoiceStream
was around from the mid-nineties as was Pacific Bell Wireless and Bell
South DCS. AT&T Wireless GSM has only been around for two years.
