I changed over to the Media Works package to curb my rather large telephone
bills, due to internet activity. Problem is when I try to use my phone as a
modem (Mot V400 and Phone Tools) my GPRS link is terminated just after
verifying the user name and password.

I called Cingular and they told me a Technical Support person would contact
me. So here I am 4 days later and several calls to Cingular still waiting
for a call. I was even told that a message had been left for me giving a
number to call. Well, there is no message on any phone I use, not even a
caller ID. The Customer Service Rep. does not know the number for Tech.
    Support.

Is this normal service from Cingular?

    Regards,

    David.

did they move their support to India too? If so, that would explain it.

Do you get any error message?
Last fall, with a Motorola T720, I was getting a similar thing with
"PPP Link terminated" or some such thing. Turned out my phone number
wasn't "provisioned" for Wireless Internet Express. I finally got
a knowledgeable Cingular tech support lady who fixed that.

That's the same problem I am having. The annoying thing is, everything was
fine until I changed to the new package.

    Thanks,

    David.

Yes, It is. I use them for voice Cellular only now because the have NO ONE
there that knows what the hell they are doing with that GPRS network.
