Cingular GAIT roaming in NV

Has anyone used GAIT service while roaming on the Cellular One
-Western Wireless network in Nevada? I have Cingular GAIT service
however I have never been able to make or receive calls while roaming
on CellOne network. Coverage is good but I always get an error
message that I am not authorize to roam on CellOne. I contacted
Cingular and they said, "Cingular does not have roaming agreements on
the CellOne network in Nevada" even if the Cingular Map shows it
does.

Towns in question are Hawthorne, Tonopah NV.

GAIT is availabe in CA/NV on special arrangement and priced just less than
ATT Digital One Rate or Verizon Single Rate Nation. I have the GAIT sim and
a few 6340i's. I never found the coverage need, so I don't know who's in
the roaming coverage. To get any answers, you need to contact Cingular CS
in the Mid Western or Eastern States where the plan sold in some volume. If
that fails, call Cingular Corporate in Atlanta.

Till recently, CA/NV/WA M2M was only to others in the CA/NV/WA areas. It
goes back to the Pacific Bell days. Cingular may have included PacBell in
the merger, yet PacBell areas never integrated with Cingular in the rest of
the nation.

I use a ATTWS digital (TDMA national) and Verizon Single Rate West Plan.
The two total a less in fees than Cingular GAIT of similar peak minutes, and
I have evenings & weekends as off peak. Somewhere between TDMA & analog, I
get pretty good coverage. Verizon fills in the coverage holes as need.
There are not many no coverage areas unless you're really in the mountains.
Domestic Globalstar is pretty cheap compared to the recent past. If I move
to a cabin in the mountains, that's your last chance to have phone coverage.
