    Hi,

Is there any way I can get online on my V600 using my own dial-up ISP
instead of the one offered by my carrier which costs me an arm and a leg? If
    so, how?

Any help will be highly appreciated,
    Amir

In a word, no. You must have CSD enabled on your account to make data calls.

I Purchased my V600 this afternoon specifically to try and dial into my
ISP and using the supplied USB cable and using the Motorola USB Modem
driver I dialed straight into my ISP and I managed to browse two web
pages using the V600 as the modem..

It took ages for the two pages to come down (@9600)and total time I was
online was 3 1/2 minutes (I disconnected myself) my mobile provider
Telstra Australia)has a bonus option of 20 Cents for 10 minutes free
call connection... Can't check the charge on my call to the ISP or
Telstra yet but I'm guessing it is around 8 cents total.

    Cheers

Nah, I actually bought a Nokia D211 off Ebay but it didn't work on my
laptop and with Telstra charging a 22c session fee and 2.2c per Kilobyte
downloads/uploads I thought this would be the cheaper option..

Just checked my ISP usage for my connection last night and I was online
for 3.33 minutes and was charged 11c, the time the call lasted was 4
minutes and as Telstra say's there is no connection fee the I would be
charged just the 20cents for 10 minutes.. Total = 31cents

I checked on the size of the two pages I went to and they totaled 26
kilobytes (this is only download so the uploaded data wouldn't be
included)so using GPRS it would have cost approx 57 cents+..
