No, it doesn't. Never did. You like it because you wrote it, now
you're trying to impose it on the rest of the world.

This isn't 1988, John. The Usenet is a way different beast than it was
    years ago. Charters? Meaningless.

But, just like the fact that the Cingular/ATTWS deal is completely done,
you refuse to accept the realities of life.

But it does exist. Therefore, nobody cares how it came to exist.

You're just trying to make yourself look important, but nobody cares.

I have plenty of respect for others. However, I feel no need to respect
40 words written on a screen just because YOU wrote them.

You want respect, and you're trying to get it in a strange, strange way.

    Ever hear of EARNING respect?

    Naw. I thought not.

Usenet protocol (observed in the breach by Navas) says you don't snip
out relevant pieces of a post and then misrepresent the leftovers as the
whole in responding to them. So whenever he wants Navas wants others to
observe a meaningless unenforceable Charter, but since he wrote it,
it's provisions don't apply to him.

We're grateful he created the group, and the Charter can be a suggested
guide to behavior, but as an unmoderated group, if someone once in a
lifetime wants to mention they've posted a phone for sale on eBay,
I see ZERO wrong with that.

You are as badly misinformed as you are rude and childish.

    Patently untrue. Grow up.
