Baloney, thats the same as calling 611, and those folks have ZERO
authority to fix anything more than a $2 opvercharge.

Baloney yourself -- they can refer you to other departments that can deal with
other problems.

I hear what you're saying, and I am ignoring the rest of the replies
in this thread that are against you, as I too am unhappy with
Cingular's service, at this time.
I can vouch for what you are saying, only I didn't just deal with one
person. I dealt with about 10 people from Customer Service, and have
kept detailed notes on all my interactions, since I purchased the plan
earlier, in November.
Cingular for the most part, without my casting aspersions on any one
individual is to blame. How do I know?
It's all about training.
Customer Service dfeinitely doesn't know what Tech Support is doing,
or even about any tech support issues.
Tech Support doesn't know what they are doing.
The managers of both departments simply don't want to deal with
customer issues, which is why they hire anyone they can to talk to the
customers.
And I mean that everyone of Cingular's support staff, I've spoken with
is C L U E L E S S, as the documentation of all my support calls can
prove. They are supposed to keep notes on every support call they
get. I know I do that myself.
I have outright been refused to have my call escalated, when the CSR
clearly indicated a lack of knowledge in assisting me.
As a customer, I feel like I'm on my way to becoming a Cingular
Service Expert, and I don't want to be. I have better things to do,
than be on the phone, until the battery dies.
I just want my issues resolved, as any customer has that right.
I've trained several "Customer Support" types on using the Google
SMS feature. The answer is always the same: I didn't know that
(for that, and other issues).
I was even told that each of their call centers around the US have
their own way of doing things. Great. No wonder I can't get a
straight answer.
So, it looks like it's just 'wait and see', unfortunately.

together to make Cingular, so how can it hope to integrate AT&T Wireless

I jsut dealt with a cingular store and jebus do they fecking suck. Guy
screwed me up...
Basically I am on a shared plan with my girlfriend, we go in we have
been having trouble getting her corporat sponsorship rates. We waited
the awhiel for them to fix the glitch walk into the same guy that
helped us he helps us and my girls phone works mine doesn't. He says
just takes a few hours to update. We wait call customer care they are
telling us our 2nd number doesn't exist.
we go back to find out there is still a problem int eh system but the
guy apparently is going through and not dealing with it, just getting
his contracts signed and commision on his phones.
Either way "official cingular stores' are full of chickfeckers....
sorry for the rant...

Cingular just said yesterday they are not integrated, and they're
just STARTING to plan it.

You saying I haven't proven anything doesnt make it so.
Cingular is just starting to plan its network integration. THEY SAID SO.
And what happened to the November 15 changeover of ATT Stores, it was
reversed on Nov. 16; they're still selling ATT phones and plans.
"Several analysts and industry experts have said the combined company
might not hold its lead for long, as both Cingular and AT&T Wireless
have suffered from high customer defections, also known as churn, this
year. "

Indeed -- your hysterical posts speak for themselves.
>Cingular is just starting to plan its network integration. THEY SAID SO.
Indeed -- albeit "starting" rather than "just starting" -- as anyone with
relevant experience would expect.
>And what happened to the November 15 changeover of ATT Stores, it was
>reversed on Nov. 16; they're still selling ATT phones and plans.
There was no such changeover, just internal rebranding, which did occur and
remains in place. Cingular will continue to use the ATTWS brand for up to six
months as previously announced:
AT&T Wireless name to disappear
Cingular Wireless will drop the AT&T brand six months after it acquires
Redmond-based AT&T Wireless Services Inc., the telecommunications companies
announced Monday.

>"Several analysts and industry experts have said the combined company

The key word there is "might." It "might" also increase its lead. In other
words, this is just meaningless speculation.

Actually pure Chicken Little.
