Mergers? Been there. That blue ATT Deathstar logo costs millions to
display. Comcast chose to not pay for it in it's 'merger' with ATT.

The ATT Wireless name will revert to ATT, who may then use it if it so
choses for its new Cellular service based upon the SprintPCS Network,
a la what Virgin is doing.

AT&T has shown no interest in re-entering consumer wireless. It's just
offering wireless as part of its business offerings.

Although not cellular related - Comcast BOUGHT AT&T's cable business outright.
They WANTED to use their own name.

They are the largest cable company in the world (before and after the buy out).
