Question about buying from former AT&T store

After asking about buying from Best Buy, I realized that Best Buy in my
hometown doesn't sell Cingular service...at least last time I was there
about a month ago. My hometown is originally a AT&T only market, no native
Cingular. So I may have to buy from the Cingular corporate store, which
isn't a big deal. My question is because this is a former AT&T wireless
store, am I going to get the same exact thing as if I bought it from a
Cingular store? I am looking at getting the v551 so I should get the 64K
sim with it. Where I would use the phone the most has both Cingular and
AT&T coverage, but I think the Cingular is better than AT&T so I want to
make sure that it will pick up the better signal. I think the answer is
that it doesn't matter that it is an former AT&T store, but I just wanted to
make sure.

I recenlty made the switch, but wish I was back on my ATT TDMA plan,
which IS still active AND which I can still go back to, according to
people in Customer Support, as well as staff in the "Presiden't's
Office..

I am not a happy camper with Cingular, as it's takent them a long time
to address an issue I've had with my service.

As far as picking up the signal, it's the same if not marginally
better with the GSM "God Save Me !" plan I opted for.
