I have been trying to register my account with cingular.com for about 3 day
and everytime I get a message saying that my account can not be registered
at this time. Did anybody else experience this problem ?

Site has been up and down for awhile now.(like a year)
It works about half the time. I usually try to pay my bill that way
so if they want my money faster, I suppose they will have to
get some help with their site.

Make sure you do NOT have "combined billing". This is where your Cingular
bill is combined with your BellSouth phone bill. if you have this
arrangement, all the great on-line things Cingular touts are inoperative
except the ability to get your 'minutes used". Cool, eh!

Re: cingular.com not working
I ran into problems registering my new account a few weeks ago. I called
support and was told I had to wait until I had my account for two weeks. It
would have been nice to say that on the website Somewhere.

Re: cingular.com not working
It does tell you on the site that if you're a new customer to wait
three days and then you will be able to register. I never read of any
2 week wait period anywhere. Mine was setup fine in the 3 days I
waited as instructed by their site.

I've totally given up on the site. It's clear that the people who
implemented it are incompetent and need to be replaced. The computers
that the customer service reps use seem to have correct information;
when I have a question, I call them.
