Are you all mostly saying that it would be neat to have a RAZR V3, but its
too expensive and maybe a bit too aristocratic, therefore, the V551 is a
better choice based on cost and features?

Well, Gary, yes and no... I'm not one to bounce around with a lot of
cool, it just ain't my style, but if it gets the girls wet, you go for
it. I toyed with the V3 in the shop and it's got cool oozong out of
it's pores, but comfortable to handle it's not, not for me. IMO, it's
*too* flat! It's a tad wider and taller than the V551, too. Toying
with the V551, it snuggles into my hand and naps comfortably, it's a tad
smaller, but the buttons aren't too small, I think the displays are the
same. Does price matter? Of course it matters, not that I couldn't
afford the V3, I just couldn't justify it over the V551. And they only
list the V3 for GPRS, not EDGE. I had to check that one twice! The
V551 does EDGE and a reasonably usable speaker phone. I got the Moto
810 BT headset and it works great. Mom was so happy with my choice I
got another one for her too. I know two that have the V3 and they're
both happy with their choices. So, for me, the V551 beat out the V3 on
cost and features. And besides, I already make the girls wet. ))))

I think so. I think the V551 is also easier to use -- I find the RAZR V3
uncomfortable to hold and to use.

Not me. I wouldn't have a RAZR. It wasn't even my second choice to the
v551. The RAZR might look sleek and impressive on the display and in
print, but it's awkward to hold and operate, feels flimsy and to me,
in reality is actually gaudy. I would choose the v551 over the RAZR
    even without regard to cost.
