I don't know whether or not Cingular pays you,
however, I find that you give accurate, helpful
    advice, information.

So I appreciate your service, most of the time.

Coming from you, that's quite an indictment.

It doesn't -- I have no connection to Cingular (or to any other cellular
company) other than as a customer (and I pay the same prices everyone else
    does for service).

Thank you. I likewise benefit from information posted by others. Which is
    why I created this forum.

I don't understand how you created this forum. How do you go about creating a forum when there's really no such thing in usenet as a
central location? Any news-server can contain posts for any groups. All you really have to do is convince some ISP to broadcast some
posts to the rest of the news servers in the world. Once it reaches a certain critical mass it maintains itself.

The above-quoted post displays ignorance of Usenet, its history, and its
clearly defined procedures which must be adhered to for newsgroup
creation, all of which predate by years what we know today as "the
internet," deeply rooted in UUCP (and other) transport mechanisms.

The questions we ask inevitably reveal more about us--sometimes too
much--than the answers reveal of the respondent.

p.s. Please don't switch posting styles (top vs bottom) in mid-thread -- it's
confusing, and considered a bit rude. Thanks.
