I don't do web-browsing on the go, but frequently need to
check my Yahoo email while I'm out to be on top of things.
Since I don't have any other device, My Moto 400 is the best
    option to help me.

With my $39 plan, I have lots of minutes left each month but
I don't get any included web-browsing minutes. Is there a
way to exchange these minutes to web-browsing minutes. That
would be the best for me. Possible? If not, what's the
    best deal on web-browsing. I believe I only need 20 to 30
minutes each month to read my Yahoo mail.

Nope, Cingular charges by the Byte, unlimited for Media Net $24.99 after
the recent price increase which used to be FREE with the $19.99 Media
    Works Messaging Package.

    https://www.cingular.com/media/media_net_purchase

    Media Net $24.99
    Media Works $19.99

What used to be $19.99 is now 44.98, and now includes 1000
monthly text messages when it used to have 1500 included in the
    $19.99 Media Works.

CAN YOU SAY MAJOR PRICE INCREASE ?

    It's still $15/month at Sprint

Bad Captalism. Bad Giant blood sucker. Time to slice and
dice it into 1000 small pieces.

    Again. Bad blood sucker.

The market will catch up to Cingular as Verizon quickly again becomes
    the largest Cellular carrier.

As much as I don't like to say it, I side with the big business on this
one. When getting data, you used to pay *only* for GPRS. Now EDGE is
standard in many (¿most?) markets. In other markets, UMTS is available.
IOW you used to pay for slow(er) data and now you are paying for
fast(er) data. It wasn't free to build the network for that.
Eventually, I feel the price will come down again.

It just more than doubled, and they'll have similar excuses to "we just
installed EDGE" in the future. And if one has a non-EDGE phone, then
whats the justification for the increase???

There's a $3.99/mo add-on called "GSM Data Circuit (CSD)" that lets you
call an ISP at 9600 bps. It uses your minutes.

That's "Wireless Internet," right? How do you set your phone up to dial the
    ISP rather than use GPRS?

Probably the easiest way to use "Wireless Internet" is to download
    connection manager from http://cingular.com/connectionmanager

Configure & use the CSD option in Connection Manager to call your ISP.

I just read on Howard forums that CSD can only be charged against
anytime minutes in some markets. (no free nights or weekends)

This does not seem to apply everywhere.

Another example of Cingular still not having integrated all the pieces
that came together to create Cingular 5 years ago.

Would you rather that Cingular put all resources into integrating TDMA
networks so that it can be 100% integrated for 30 days before it gets
shut off? Would you prefer companies laying new copper lines for
telegraphs or new fibre optic lines?

POINT -- sometimes it doesn't make sense to put money into something
that's going to die (is Verizon Wireless investing in expanding AMPS
    coverage?)

Oh yeah, that reminds me...last I knew it was a little hard to integrate
    GSM and AMPS networks.
