I've heard of issues where some Motorola phones do that when they're not
rebooted on a regular basis. Do you reboot on a regular basis? That
would be the first thing to try, and second I would ask about updating
the software on it.

Reboot just like a computer - power off and then power on. I always
advise people to reboot mobile phones regularly, as they are actually
computers.
