It makes sense that the first reply post is bottom posted, but after
that why not expect that people have already read the original post.
Plus, I think it is simply a matter of preference. Who are you, Miss
    Manners?

My training allows me to rise above it, but it also helps that I don't read
bottom posts when the poster can't be bothered to properly trim a post.
Not trimming is the biggest reason why bottom posting sucks and top posting
is better - if you aren't going to trim, we can still read it without
    scrolling.

Or join XM/Sirus and leave all the commercials behind. PBS has
"commercials".....or as they call it "sponsors". Seems everytime I
try to watch a PBS show on TV, they are having one of their endless
    pledge drives........

True, although I believe that some of the DJs (?) on Sirius enjoy the sound
of their own voices a bit much .

When I eat at restaurants it never ceases to amaze me how many parents
nowadays fail to instruct their children in the difference between an 'inside'
voice and an 'outside' (playground) voice.
Civility is getting to be a lost art, I guess.

There's a big difference between people who are physically or mentally
handicapped through no fault of their own, and those who are healthy
but insist on the right to act like selfish boors with no consideration
    for nearby fellow human beings.

[I know this is an old thread, and that I'm responding to an off-topic
comment, but I just had to say this:]

A large part of US Society goes to sleep because it's tired of being
enraged (and unable to do anything about it).

Re: SHUT THE CELL UP !

If you carry a GSM phone (particulary and 850mhz and 1900mhz phone), do a
network search. If nothing comes up in an urban area and you are not
underground, it is a good bet that a jammer is in place. Also stand right
outside the door of the restuaraunt and you can figure this out as well.

With hotels, what you need to figure out is what technique is being used to
jam the phone. A little led in the glass and carefully chosen insulation
can be a legal passive jammer.
