I just got service with Cingular and have the V551. I like the phone.
I was offered insurance for, I think, $3.95 a month with a $50 deductible.
The question I have is if my phone is lost or stolen I can get get it
replaced for the $50 deductible but what about the SIM card? Am I going to
be charged another $50 for a new SIM card also?
TIA!

Just curious, but why would you think they would charge you for the SIM
card?
Did they charge you $50 for it with your initial purchase?

No they didn't. But they also gave me a phone worth over $250 for $29 so
what does the question did they charge me for SIM have any relevance? Since
the CS sucks and is closed now at 10PM, what a joke, I won't be able to
answer you until tomorrow.

Re: insurance
Should be no charge for a replacement SIM card.

Re: insurance
No. Cingulars insurence covers the sim too.
