v551 crash/ lock up

Is this just a characteristic of this phone? I have seen several post
regarding it, and mine does it too from time to time...usually when i
have a weak signal and am on a call.

I've not experienced any issues with either of my 551s, and both have
the 64K SIM. Didn't you say in your other post it came with a 32K SIM?
I can't imagine why that would be an issue, other than I think most
551s have 64K.

It did come with a 32k sim. (Thanks best Buy) But it would freeze on
me during calls even then about 1/10 calls or so. I have seen several
people say that it is a known software issue and i was just wondering
if there is a fix.

Both 551a here came directly from a Cingular store with 64K SIMs and
SJUG0290BA firmware. I've heard some 551s have xxxxxxxxAA firmware.
