    Re: from sprint to cingular

I just switched from Sprint to Cingular. I had been with Sprint since 2000
and I really never had any complaints except I could rarely ever get a
signal inside of big buildings such as a mall or Wal-Mart. I shared a
family plan with my parents and we had 3 phones with 2000 minutes for $140 a
month. The switch to Cingular was basically to save us money. We now have
4 phones sharing the 1100 minutes W/Rollover for $99 a month (before taxes
and all that stuff). I got my phones off of www.letstalk.com and I have
been very pleased with Cingulars service. I can get a signal in large
buildings now, and I drive through the country to go to work and I can get a
signal out there now as to where I could not before. Plus alot of my
friends have Cingular and I can talk mobile to mobile and it will not cost
me any minutes there either. As I said, I liked Sprint, but it just made
more since for us to switch to Cingular. If you do switch, you should check
out letstalk.com, You can get a good deal on your phone there, and they
will port your number over and everything for you.

    Hope this helps.

Sprint currently has the best deals on data plans and has unlimited data for
$10/month. If this is important to you, I would not switch.

    Re: from sprint to cingular

I switched from Sprint to Cingular about 2 months ago. My reason for
switching was that I wanted a flip phone with bluetooth, which Sprint does
not have. My car is bluetooth capable - and it is great.

Regarding the service - I'm still undecided which has better voice quality.
I had a Sprint Samsung a500 phone, and now have the Cingular Motorola v550.
It seems that the sprint phone had better voice quality. Coverage is about
the same - the both have their weak spots. In terms of data - I got the
media net service - which does give me data capabilities. And, since my
phone is bluetooth capable, it allows me to connect to my bluetooth enabled
    computer.
