SX66 Email works on wireless network, not on GPRS

Hi,

I recently purchased a siemens SX66.

The internet browser works well both on my wireless network, as well as
GPRS, however my email accounts only work on the wireless network.

I've tried everything I know to do.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jamie A. Landers

Re: SX66 Email works on wireless network, not on GPRS

I have the Siemens SX66 phone from Cingular and noticed within minutes
after I purchased it that I could not use e-mail, Terminal Service
Client and other Internet applications that used ports other than 80
while on the Cingular GPRS data network.

These features work great on WiFi networks.

It appears that they are blocking ports even though I have purchased
the Unlimited PDA Connect plan.

Has anyone else observed this issue?

Internet Explorer works quite well on the GPRS network via the Siemens
SX66.

Do you have the Unlimited PDA Connect plan from Cingular?

I have MEdia Works Unlimited ($20/month) on my account, and email, FTP, SSH,
etc., all work fine from my laptop. The only thing not working and apparently
blocked is VPN.

At the least, email not working doesn't sound right, because many handsets
have email clients.

Check what's not working over GPRS by making a CSD connection, if possible.
