Well.. they are (according to customer service) having trouble.
New Samsung phone, 64k sim.. ok phone. Message waiting indicator came
on when a new message left in my voicemail. Called in, played, deleted
message. MWI stays on, on the phone display. Called in again, no
messages old or new or saved. NONE.
Customer service says they are working on it. 24 hours and still it's
not fixed.
What is so hard about getting the MWI to work correctly?

Well, as usual, got wrong info (maybe) from CS. Different CS rep this
morning said there was no record of a wide spread problem.
Suggestions, which worked:
1. Call voice mail, leave myself a message.
2. Exit using * when done. Hang up.
3. Call back, retrieve message, then delete it.
4. Exit using *. Hang up.
This cleared the message waiting indicator, and then I tried calling
from an office phone, leaving messages, then retrieving / deleting.
The MWI seems to be "in sync" now.
