Your photoshop skills get a D-. Next time don't use anti-alisaing in
your graphic editing and photo retouching.

It isn't so.
But I *did* switch to tMobile because of the poor customer interface.
OTOH, I might go back next year if I find Cingular's GSM coverage is better in
my area for my use.

I've had AT&T, SunCom (talk about sucky) and now Cingular. I couldn't
be happier with the customer service, features, online account
management, and the staff at my local Cingular store. I've never had to
hold when I call CS whereas with AT&T and SunCom, sometimes I had to
wait 20-30 minutes. After the wait, many times the person I would speak
with was less knowledgable that me about the problem I was calling
about. I guess it's relative to where you live. NC coverage is
flawless, I haven't run into a dead zone ANYWHERE. Not out in the
country, not on the interstate, not in the mountains, not at the beach,
not into SC, so I don't know. I certainly don't want to be part of the
Cingular ex-community, I hope I stay with them indefinitely.

You're pretty right for lack of good coverage, at least in LA. I like the
idea of FCC complaints.

Yeah, Cingular does have bad coverage in LA (and in the middle of no-where parts of East Texas, but you at least get a bar), but I will have to say that Cingular got reception where no one else did in Seattle, Washinton. I went there visiting relatives this summer and their house is a dead zone on Sprint, I however got full bars. I continued to get great reception all around Seattle, which based on it's geographic location usually gets pretty bad reception on the whole. Cingular also has great reception in all the other parts of texas for the most part. I was on AT&T wireless when it got bought out and encountered a lot of "Network Busy" messages soon after, but as soon as I switched to Cingular Orange that went away. Figures.
Cingular may make me pay for phones out the wazoo (something I NEVER had to do with AT&T. Only paid for a phone when my family started with AT&T and got free upgrades) but overall, it has great coverage.

Yeah, I know, nice guys finish last in the corporate world. Though I guess the term "nice" should be used loosely.

More like poor business models and poor management finish last in the
corporate world.

I would have to agree. I think AT&T Wireless's undoing was management. Of
course, discounts left and right didn't help, but that kept a loyal customer
base, which is a steady stream of revenue. The bigger issue was clumsy upgrading
(when they couldn't add new GSM customers in late 2003, a lot of people knew that
was the last straw). I can't help wondering what AT&T Wireless would have become
if Vodafone had purchased it.
