I am starting to see a lot of razr phones on ebay with claim to also record
video, yet cingular tells me that such a razr does not exist? What's up with
this? I have a black razr that i have had for 2 weeks and I wish it would
record and I would be interested in one of these if it is true.....

The V3's that are coming out with Video are T-Mobil's. I have a Cingular V3
and enabled the video myself. It is in there it just has to be turned on.

You need a data cable and then go to motomodders.com and you will find the
programs you need to downmoad (free) and what steps to take after you do.

However you aren't missing much by not having it. You're limited to
about a 7 or 8 second clip and the resolution is awful.

No **** Sherlock. I've seen pics and video produced by cell phones,
even the newest and supposedly greatest, and I'm sooo non-plussed by the
results. In fact, I'm so non-plussed, I'd have a difficult time
accepting any result as evidence in a criminal case because the
resolution isn't good enough to determine whether the image has been
doctored or not. If I'm on your jury, beyond a reasonable doubt means
more than cell phone users may think.

The limitations are your choice. If you turn the video on via a seem edit
you have the choice of settings, MMS or unlimited. MMS is approx. 11
seconds and unlimited is just what it means.

There are also seem edits for video quality and video style settings. It
all depends on how bad you want the video option and how good you want the
    quality.

Anyone that is expecting a cell phone video to equal a camcorder or any
other device designed just for video recording is quilt of something, most
    probably stupidity.

These options get trashed to the max as far as quality goes because every
one has forgotten they are just cell phones!

I agree. I can record almost a minute on my Razr.
Qualitys is not bad but not camcorder either. Also,
the compression happend after the capture, so when
you finsih recording you have to wait about the same
amount of time before you can do anything,

The first one took me aboout half a day to modify,
finding and downloading the programs and reading up
on how to do it. These were stock Cingular phones
    from Best Buy.

The second took less than 10 minutes.

    Good luck.

I get 90 seconds record time out of mine. Quality is fine and keeps getting better with every flash upgrade.
