I am using a Motorola v505 cell phone and would like to know if there
is a way to delete a voice message without listening to it all the way
through it and than deleting it? Thanks

    I press 77 during play.

Could someone tell me the steps for utilizing the #33 to delete a voice
mail. I don't know where I go to do the 33 bit? Do I start to listen to
the voice mail and than hit 33 which adds to my password? Do I delete
the password before using the 33?

You might also try just pressing "77" at any point after the message begins,
to stop it from paying further and to delete it, simultaneously. That's the
way it works on my ATTWS TDMA service. Not sure if the Cingular message
servers use the same control set.

If it does work for you, you don't have to bother with fast-forwarding the
message using "33," before deleting it.

On my v551, 33 doesn't fast forward, it instantly deletes the message right
then. This is on Cingular GSM and it did the same on my v60ti on Cingular
    TDMA.

The problem is that in different areas Cingular has different voicemail
systems which use different navigation keys. The problem is exacerbated by
poor and confusing documentation on the Cingular website. Many subscribers
are thus left to puzzle out on their own how their particular system works.

The old "blue" (ATTWS) voicemail system works as described in the earlier post
(e.g., "77" during playback to delete a message). "Orange" (old Cingular)
customers in California are being migrated to this system (which has caused
confusion). For a complete menu tree of this system, see
    <http://supportcingular.atgnow.com/cng/knowledgebase/KB25563.html>. You are
    apparently on a different system.
