Q: What's the outgoing SMTP server for Cingular?

    A:
    * photo.mycingular.com (adds a photo messaging footer)
    * cwmx.com (preferred, no footer, an alias for wcmx.mycingular.net and
    atlmx.mycingular.net)

    NOTES:
    * This is for use with an email client in the mobile device, not SMS
    * This is for Cingular ("orange") subscribers, not AT&T Wireless
    ("blue") subscribers

Which works well on my 6630. Now, what's the right incoming IMAP server
address and where do I find my username and password for it?

I tried getting this all working through Cingular support and, well, they
didn't have a clue and made stupid suggestions like erasing the entire phone
    every third attempt.

There is no incoming POP3 or IMAP server for Cingular email -- only WAP/Wep
access is possible. You can only use POP3 or IMAP to access some other email
    provider.

Hmmm, the what mail client is there to do this on a 6630? It's mailbox
setups only offer POP3 or IMAP access. What client would allow using what
    Cingular's setup to provide?

As I wrote, there is no email client access possible for Cingular email
because Cingular doesn't support POP3/IMAP access, only WAP (browser) access.
Thus any phone email client can only be used to access non-Cingular email.
