move phone from Sprint to Cingular?

I have an old Cingular Nokia phone. Now I'm given a newer Nokia 3588i
that was on Sprint. I'm told the 3588i can't run on Cingular, even with
a SIM swap. True?

Sprint doesn't use SIMS. You will need a new phone. Cingular offers
cheap phones, but if you are looking for a really cheap phone try Ebay.
