Just got the new iPAQ hw6515 and while I am very pleased with the device
overall, I am still not convinced that I am getting all that I can get out
    of the Edge connection.

Frankly I have not done any speed testing with a transfer of a file or other
benchmarking (not familiar with a site that would show this on the PPC) but
the speed just doesn't "feel" any faster than the normal access I was
    receiving on my MPx220.

I would like to begin with a verification of my connection settings, but
alas, I do not have the info needed, and the Cingular site directs me to ask
my local office for the APN name.. they have no idea.

John Navas... I am a fan, and need your help

    Thanks

Since it works, your settings are correct -- there's no tweaking.

That test comes in two flavors. If your phone (or a PC pointed to that
page), can run javascript, then something is downloaded and tested.
If it doesn't I recall the page that you get says something like "press
enter as soon as the transfer stops", which really puts you into a manual
stopwatch mode. How quickly you hit the key affects the reading that you
get. The test has 5k, 50k, 100k, 200k, 600k tests, the stopwatch version
used to be the same, but now only has 5k.

I've only tried a few times, but subsequent passes have such wide ranging
values that I think they are too inaccurate to bother with.
