Log into mycingular.cingular.com; check the status of your service.
Mine says:
Contract start February 3, 2005
Contract End February 3, 2007
and I'm told " yes, thats correct, its how the computer sets it up."
Problem is its a two year contract, covering two years and 1 day.
Thats FRAUD by any definition of the term.
Such extension of the contract voids it.

And wouldn't those dates be accurate if you started your service at noon?
Your end date would be February 3, 2007 at 11:59:59 am. That would be a two
year contract, covering two years exactly. Thats not FRAUD by any
definition of the term. The contract is valid.

If you're really dumb enough to think that constitutes fraud, then get a lawyer
and sue them. This is not the people's court.

Re: Are all Cingular contracts void?
Cancel your contract if you are so concerned about it. I am sure that
you can't think of anything that Cingular hasn't dealt with before.
Enjoy paying your cancellation fee. Then stop posting to this
newsgroup after you go to some other carrier.

thats nothing, when i first got my phone it said the same thing on one line,
but i paid for a 1 year contract for both lines
cingular would not fix it.
i called in about 100 times and they said every time that the guy said one
year but sold me the phone and rebate for 2 year and they cant fix it.
it doesnt matter now because its been 2 years, but there isnt much you can
do if its not right.

I can't believe how this place has gone downhill. I can't believe this
person has nothing better to do.
Tell us how it goes when you take this to court.
