I bought my brother and sister in law each a V400 a few months back and they
are currently using them on the cingular network. I did not get them from
Cingular though. But one is locked to Cingular and one is unlocked. Both
phones work fine and they love them. Well now I have been trying to send
them some wallpapers that I have made or found and I know they have to be
sent thru a multimedia message. Their accounts are set up for a pay as you
go so they should be able to get messages and send messages. Well I have
tried numerous times to sent them wallpapers and none will go thru. It
sends them a message that they can download the picture from some web site.
To test my phone I sent the same wallpaper to my mothers V400 phone and it
went thru without a problem. They have contacted Cingular and was told it
was a network/server problem with the phone settings and they worked with my
sister in laws phone and I was finally able to get wallpapers thru to my
sister in laws phone but not any ringtones. We tried it on my brothers
phone and it will not work. It sends the message that the picture can be
download at such and such web site. Does anyone know of the settings that
Cingular is talking about. I have compared the settings in my mothers V400
with the ones on my sister in laws phone and brothers phone and they are the
same. If anyone has any ideas please respond. It will be most appreciated
and please no get another phone remarks lol. Thanks.
