    Fair enough.

I would say you are definitely in the very small minority with that
opinion in 12/2005 -- the opinion being that Cingular does PTT better
    than NexTel does.

If I did'nt think they could do it better, I would have stayed with Nextel. I did'nt have the warm fuzzy's about the sprint/nextel merge so I left.

The facts are in evidence- you simply refuse to believe them. But then
again, you swore up and down that the iDen network was going dark due to the
rebanding. We know how that played out for you- you were wrong. I noticed
that you have avoided that thread at all costs, as you would have to admit
your error. I'll continue to stick by my facts.

Cingular DOES NOT do PTT better then Nextel, in the Albany NY area,
now in your area that mite be true, But I can honestly say, been
there done that, and with only TWO phones ( Read That John NAVAS )
ONLY TWO MODELS to choose from, I'll give it a try in two years or
maybe less after they work the bugs out. Out of which there are
    numerous bugs and lag.

Theres only supposed to be a 10 second delay at most and according to
Cingular, Hahahahahahahahahahaa NOT, at least 15 to 20 before you
get a tone back to your phone.

    The list goes on

If you have an issue with the cingular PTT then don't use it. I have no problems with it here in the DC area at all. And IIRC Nextel had one model when they started.....

Good for you, I'm sure in time they will get it working in my area,
but for NOW, we are happy with what we have. And the phones are
    fantastic.

    Happy Holidays

Guess you are wrong- don't ask for facts when you are incapable of providing
them yourself. You were given more than enough detail. I don't need to
make things up as you do.

Cingular and Verizon are MORE expensive, than what Nextel has to
offer as far as rates go, at least for this month (December)

Yea and when you go into the store and ask them to demo it, NONE,
NONE of them can, WHY you ask, because NONE of the sales people KNOW
    the full potential.

Or its like this, You go into the store and the manager says there
better and goes to show you and gets nothing, than he calls someone
and says oh its down again, OK, than looks at you and says can you
    come back tommorow.?

For once John Navasssss you said something that makes sense, lets
wait and see, seeing how Cingular is NOT giving present customers any
perks to change overr to PTT, as in special pricing and renewing
there contract and adding PTT to there accounts. Or you could go to
ebay and buy the Samsung, LG, or Motorola PTT phones and just give
them the IME number and add those phones on plus the PTT feature.

For me I would think that especially during Christmas time/ holiday
season, they would have a major push on this NEW service.

nextel is the industry standard when it comes to PPT.

the cingular handset selection is the "ladies pocketbook" style phones
not meant to be "work horse" .

and I love the "coming soon" as in 2007. cingular has been trying to
release this for over a year. What is that old saying ... for a
hamburger today.. I'll pay you tomorrow?

if you like cingular .. great..but radio is a tool.. cingular got in
the market for a revenue stream not a true contender.

pay the extra 9.99 per line or 19.99 on the family stuff, and see how
much you use it. My experience, it is a niche market and mobile to
    mobile is free.

So you buy all new handsets (all 2 of them) and take the feature off in
60 days after you see how useless it is.

find a alltel ppt user, it is the exact same feature (kodiak) and ask
    them.

the fun part will be finding a sales rep to sell it to you, the reps
don't get paid to "upgrade" unless you're a retail customer. so as a
    business tool it is weak.
