I currently have a TDMA plan and mainly travel in the south and west of the
city. There are a lot of drops around the area. I was wondering if the GSM
coverage is the same or better than what I currently have? I'd like to make
the switch because of the frustrating TDMA coverage. Or would Verizon be a
    better choice for this area?

I don't think that Pittsburgh was one of the cities for Consumer Reports
latest cellular survey. In Philadelphia, Verizon was better than Sprint
    PCS, Cingular, and Nextel.

In most areas, Verizon is going to be the number one carrier in terms of
coverage, as long as they have an 800 Mhz network, and not just a 1900
    Mhz network.

Because Steven says so, facts be damned.

    check out j.d.power wireless ratings

cingular is rated the lowest in most areas.

I can explain the dropped calls.. they are turning off tdma service and
will be completely gone in 2007.

so the old "force you over" move by the orange is their way of saying
    thank you.

if you want cheap get tmobile if you want the best verizon.

if you like dropped calls.. cingular is perfect
