My parents and I want 3 phones with a family plan with the 3 bills all in
1 plan but searched online for phones but its just coming up to free 2 phones for family plans but i want 3 phones to 1 bill.
or if i want 3 different phones when i buy them online does the phone need to have a family plan?
If i buy 3 different phones and buy like one ohone is a samsung, another 1 is Nokia, and another 1 is cingular phone does it all have to have a family plan then, do i have to go to a store or call a company cingular, verizon and tell them i want to register these phones for a family plan all in 1 bill?
After i buy the 3 phones can i just go to the store where they have verizon or cingualar and register for a family plan and tell them to activate the phones for me?

From Cingular, just subscribe to a 2-phone family plan and add a third phone
for $9.99 a month.

The problem with that approach is you will not get a very good deal (i.e.
free or cash-back) on your 3rd phone. I recently did this and got two free
RAZRs, but had to pay $200 for my wife's pink RAZR which I added later. I
should have purchased all 3 at once, and I would have gotten them all for
free.

Re: How do i get a 3 line family plan?
Like MC said, you just add the third phone for $9.99/mo. AFAIK, you
can add lines to the family plan whenever you like. We just added a
fourth line to our family plan with T-Mobile.
One thing about your post I think I might have read (and I want to make
clear): you cannot have a family plan between carriers. All the phones
will have to be with the same carrier to qualify for the family plan.
You can purchase the phones anywhere you like - even on e-bay if you
want. Just make sure the phone you buy is not locked to a different
carrier (i.e. a Motorola RAZR locked to T-Mobile that you want to use
with Cingular). You can use an unlocked T-Mobile phone with Cingular
and vice versa. The other thing is that some carriers use different
technologies that are incompatible with other carriers (i.e., you can
never use a Cingular phone on Verizon service - whether unlocked or
not).
If you do buy a phone from a source other than Cingular or T-Mobile,
you will need a SIM chip to go with it (if the phone doesn't come with
one). You can get the SIM chip from the carrier. I've heard they are
supposed to cost $20 or so, but often times the carrier will give you
one for free.
