I bought an ex-T-Mobile unlocked phone and am using it with my Cingular SIM
card in the USA (and with my Virgin Mobile SIM card in the UK).

Voice and texting work just fine, but it can't access the Internet through
Cingular and therefore cannot download ringtones from Cingular. Also, it
displays the T-Mobile logo when it's turned on.

How easy would it be to do any of the following?

    - Transfer the wallpaper and ringtone from my old phone (Samsung X472m,
Cingular firmware) to this one (Samsung X495, T-Mobile firmware)?

    - Enable this phone to download ringtones and pictures from Cingular? (I
don't need full Internet access from it, just the ability to receive browser
    messages for these specific purposes.)

    - Maybe even change the whole firmware to Cingular's instead of T-Mobile's?

    Thanks!

I doubt their tech support would do all that for you. You may find a
solution to do it yourself with a data cable.
