I just read that this phone is a tri band. I had a V180 on TMo for a
year and my friend has a V180 on Cingular. Did Moto make two versions,
one quad band for Cingular?

Re: V180 Quad Band or Tri Band
Actually the 1st verision that was released from Cingular it was a Tri
ban. It SUCKED for reception. I saw so many returns that I refused to
sell it in my stores and when we would offer a different manufacture
(samsung or lg or nokia) phone the customer was quite happy with
reception. When the updated Quad band version came out about June of
last year it was much better for reception but by then there were newer
and better phones that were being sold.
