i dont know anything about comcasts email server setup, but its
entirely possible they restrict connections to only allow
devices to connect that have a comcast IP address assigned
to it. that's almost always the case for sending mail (to
prevent people from using their servers to send spam)
but usually most companies allow you to retrieve email
from anywhere.
