I'm on the border between Mexico and the US for a while. Both Cingular and
mexican Telcel are almost always reachable. I have an unlimited data plan
if it connects to the cingular tower, or it will charge me $.02/KB if it
connects to the Mexican tower. I don't want to connect to a Mexican tower,
period. Customer service says there is no way to stop it.
Yes, I know that I can use call-barring for phone calls. But there doesn't
seem to be anything equivalent nor data connections.
Any hints?

Call Customer Care, and ask to have International Roaming turned off.
