I'd like the battery autonomy he gets when you consider the heavy data
usage he does as well as constant voice.

And he must have a hell of a powerful transitter on his phone for it to
work flawlessly inside the baggage compartment of an aircraft (no
windows for signals to come in).

I think he's on Sprint. I thought I saw that on a closeup of his Treo
in one of the earlier eps this season.

I'd like whatever version of the Palm OS he's got!

While signals on planes can be near impossible to get, one does not
need a window for cellular service.

One does need to be somewhere other than enclosed in metal.

    Get a phone with AMPS (800MHz) capability and you can have that too;
it is nearly as good as a sat phone (e.g., Iridium, Globalstar).

FYI, no current phone sold by Cingular support AMPS anymore.

I'll settle for the thirty-five shot clip he has for his .45 automatic.

I work as an Avionics Technician inside of earth grounded aircraft every
day and cellphones work just fine whether or not I'm near a window,
crawling around below the main deck or what have you. On the Boeing
flightline at the Renton Municipal Airport, I get no less than 3 bars
ever but usually a steady four, yeah, I know my bars on my Moto MPx200
don't give an accurate indiction of strength in decibels. Inside the
factory, cellphone repeaters are installed since it is a huge metal
building and people work inside of grounded aircraft inside the huge tin
building so repeaters are a very welcome addition that must have happened
during my post 911 layoff before I was recalled recently. Presumably,
there are also repeaters installed somewhere out on he flightline where
I work but I believe those are in some of the buildings where our
managers, and other support personnel reside as well as where we get
    tools.
