    I have a Cingular Razr V3.

Is there a way to determine the primary cell tower ID when the cell phone is
    turned on?

I'm not adverse to switching to test mode, whatever that is.

If you don't know what it is, how are you going to switch to it??

By doing more research. When I decided I wanted to use my V3 to display
lat/long from a Bluetooth GPS, I busted my can doing research until I had it
down to five lines of code I needed. Those five lines were in the control of
a single person at a large company. So I did more research until I had his
contact info. When I contacted him, he said what I wanted to do on a V3 was
not possible but could be done on subsequent models.

Incidentally, my cellular law enforcement system that cuts processing time
from 20 minutes to 53 seconds goes to market this week. How about you?
