Hi,
I recently purchased a new Motorola v365 to replace my older cell
phone. All of the reviews of this phone say that it has a voice
recorder and voice memo, but the user manual doesn't show any way to
create voice memos and I don't see any way on this phone to create a
voice memo.
Pushing down and holding the record button does nothing.
I brought it back to the store and the guy at the store called cingular
and was told by the customere support person that this phone does not
have voice memo capability.
Seems hard to belive that it has the record button but doesn't have
this feature.
My old phone is a v551. The speaker doesn't work on that one any more
so I have to use speaker phone which is why I'm replacing it.
Anybody no if there is a way to do voice memos on the v365?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

I have the V365, and it appears that this function is not active. Even
though there's a selection to create "Multimedia Messages", no record
option shows up, just text entry.
But there is a workaround, sort of. If all you are creating is voice
memos for yourself, use the video camera. It also records sound. It's a
bit inefficient in terms of memory use, and you'll be limited to the 45
second maximum length for each video, but with a memory card, you should
have plenty of space to use this function for voice messages.

Yeah, the guy at the store pointed that out to me. To slow for me
though. I need quick voice messages when I'm on the road and the
videos take to long to save to disk and to activate them.
Guess I'll have to return it in for a different phone, Too bad because
other than that one thing I really like this phone. Audio is amazing.
