Need Prepaid GSM card for London - which one?

I am going to be travelling to London for 8 days. I would like to get the
CHEAPEST possible pre-paid SIM card for while there. Anyone with
suggestions? I really only need to RECEIVE calls and yes, my phone is
UNLOCKED.

In the UK incoming calls to mobile phones are free to the mobile owner
(this is why the long distance rate to call a UK mobile is so much higher
than a landline), so in some sense any prepaid SIM will do.

For relatively cheap outgoing calls, however, Virgin Mobile is pretty
good at 15p/minute for the first five minutes a day and 5p/minute
thereafter to both mobile phones and landlines. Other operators
with a reputation for decent prices are T-Mobile and Tesco.
