Hi

I decided to post this after seeing so many problems by LG CU500 ppl buying
kingston 1gb microsd cards and it not working. While they worked for *some*

It turns out, Kingston has a 1st generation version of this card that has
compatability problems when you try to write to the card on the cu500. In
other words, if you copy any data to the card memory, you get corruption.
The solution some folks gave was format the card on the pc and then put all
your mp3s or whatever and then it would work fine. Yes, of course it does,
because at this point the memory card is read-only and all you're doing is
using it as a reading device ... not writing anything out to it. But when
you try writing to the card, you will get corruption.

Kingston now has a 2nd generation of this card. Call their tech support and
mention you have the LG CU500 phone and your problem writing data out to the
card, and they will replace it with a re-design of the chip that works
perfect. I got mine and it works like a charm.
