What is the email address to use if you want to send a text message to a ATT
cell phone? I've tried [email protected] but it nevers goes through and I
get a delivery failure problem when the email bounces back.

That is the correct gateway address.
What is the failure code and message?
Have you tried [email protected] ?

This is what I get back. I get the same thing when I send to the
    cingularme.com address.

The mail is being sent via Outlook. No other mail problems.

The following addresses had delivery problems:

    <[email protected]>

    Permanent Failure: Other address status

Delivery last attempted at Tue, 12 Jun 2007 13:49:13 -0000

That error means something is wrong with the address.
    Check for subtle errors.
Can you send email to other AT&T/Cingular mobiles?
Does the subscriber have SMS messaging turned off?
Can you send to that gateway from other mail services?
