myriad stories and posts about grief getting iPhones activated as a
result of AT&T's computers not being able to keep up.

    Just Google it.

Now they've instructed their store personnel to say its all Apple's
    fault.

Call 713-661-9511 and check them out; they have lots
of time to answer the phone as that AT&T store is sold out of iPhones,
as are most AT&T stores by Saturday afternoon.

Here in Milwaukee it is Saturday night and two Apple stores still have
inventory. It did not sell out, people slept in line for nothing. I went
into a store friday night at 930pm and only a few people were looking at the
iphone. Those who waited in line wasted time, I walked in after work and
could of had a phone with no hassle. By the way, I used iphone to look up
Apple stock and it only went up one point on Iphone Release Day.

The market closed long before the sales started.

Despite having 1000 iPhones for Friday night per store, about half the
Apple stores are now sold out.
