Okay, I know I asked this before, but I can't find the help response
anywhere. So, I have a Green triangle on my new RAZR phone, in the upper
middle section of the screen. It is a Cingular (AT&T) service phone that is
a replacement. Gotta love the SIM card. What does this mean and how do I fix
it? IS there a flex or flash I just need to run? I flexed it already, but it
obviously needs something else.
Also, are there any newer flex or monster packs for the RAZR V3? I got mine
from Motox, not sure where else to look, since they were always helpful.
And, can I flex/flash a monster pack for a RAZR V3i phone to a plain RAZR
V3? Or is this not compatible?
Thanks for the help.

Usually the triangle is a roaming icon.

You probably gave yourself the arrow when you flashed it.
Often carriers "hide" the roaming icon in their custom firmware.
For example, I'm a T-Mobile customer, using a very old SIM (back when T-
Mo was "Voicestream.") Whatever network ID T-Mo uses today isn't the
same as my Voicestream SIM's, so my SIM in an unlocked/unbranded phone
shows a roam icon (triangle.) In a "T-Mobile" branded phone, the roam
icon doesn't display. The T-Mo firmware blocks the icon.
I assume you'll have to find some "hack" to supress the icon, or get used
to it.

The triangle is the roaming indicator. Recent Cingular SIMs all seem
to home to 310-410, but where I live (in California) the towers report
themselves as 310-380, i.e. the old AT&T Wireless. The RAZR I bought
overseas displays the triangle where I live (it goes away if I travel
somewhere where there are 310-410 towers), though the Cingular-branded RAZR
running Cingular software my wife sometimes uses does not.
My guess would be that your phone isn't running Cingular software, and
that you would need to run Cingular software on it to get the triangle
to go away. I suspect that when the triangle is showing the phone
may run down its battery a little faster, since the phone may spend time
searching for its home network when it is roaming, but the problem doesn't
bother me enough that I've tried to do anything about it on my overseas
RAZR.
