Can anyone confirm that the KIC PrePaid service is a GSM service that uses a
GSM SIM card in the phone. If so does it allow roaming with GSM operators
within the USA in particular ATT and T-Mobile? I'm in the Detroit area but
spend some time around the East Lansing area. Also is it possible to send
and receive SMS text messages while in the roaming areas? If so what is the
cost of sending a SMS (MO) message in the roaming areas?

    Best Regards,

    Dave

KIC prepaid in those markets that were TDMA will stay TDMA, even after
GSM conversion...as for old GSM markets, those do not get any free
roaming except in the Superhome calling areas

Prepaid does not roam. The phone will only work on the cingular
network and only in the market that it was activated. West coast
prepaid will not work in the Carolinas/Tennessee and vice versa.
