Cingular MMS is reportedly up and running as of Oct 1, 2003, with a promotion
of unlimited MMS messages through the end of the year for $3/mo. (You do
apparently need to subscribe to MMS for it to work!)
There doesn't appear to be any documentation of MMS settings yet on the
Cingular Developer website. In the meantime, here's a message posted in the
Cingular Developer Forum:
hey guys, i finally got my mms working. it seemed that my "multimedia"
(wap) settings were not that accurate. the settings that i use for mms now
that my MMS is working is:
Data Bearer: GPRS
Access point name: Wap.cingular
User name: [email protected]
Prompt Password: No
Password: CINGULAR1
Authentication: Normal
Gateway IP Address: 66.209.11.61
Homepage: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Connection security: off
Session mode: Permanent
Again, my phone is a Nokia 3650. Hope this helps for some people who wants
to have MMS and do not have these settings.

Yup, I just signed up for it on the 5th, the deal is 3 months of unlimited
MMS then 20 MMS messages a month before metering after that. I'm sure that
after the intial month or so the novelty of sending pics will wear down
quite a bit and hitting that 20 mark for me won't be a problem
