My wife tried this post and had no luck so Im going to try it again and then
if no one can help me Im going to give up on it because I get a different
answer every time we call Cingular.
When we first got our camera phones the network to send photos phone to
phone was not ready yet. We were told that we could send photos via email
by getting a $6.99 WIX account. That let us send 1 MB of photos per month
attached to emails, we could send to a computer but not to a phone. Also
the WIX account let us read stories and sports or whatever off the net.
Ok..now the network is up and running and we are now paying 2.99 for 20
photo messages a month. My question is do we still need to have the WIX
account? We have gotten two different answers from Cingular so I want to
ask here because someone else who reads this group must have photo
messaging. It seems kind of steep to me that we would have to pay a total
of 9.98 a month to send 20 photo messages. We would truly appreciate any
help. Thanks.

Re: Photo Messaging
no you do not have to have both wix and mms photo messaging. just call
cingular (dial 611 from your cell phone and there's no airtime charge) and
ask them to remove the wix and add the "MMS-multi-messaging feature"
feature. The mms feature works on the gsm signal. the wireless internet
express (WIX) feature operates on the GPRS signal. you can also send your
mms messages to any cell phone. if the receiving phone cannot display the
photo, a url to a cingular website will appear on the screen telling them
where they can view the photo in your free online storage album.

Re: Photo Messaging
Thanks for the reply. I appologize for not asking this question the first
time. If I cancel the WIX account will I still be able to send a photo to a
PC via someones email address? Thanks so much.
