The description of this service on Cingular's web site describes it as being
"Powered by Cingular's nationwide
GSM & TDMA voice and next generation data
network." It is described as a simple method of accessing MS Exchange mail,
calendar, contacts, etc. The only function that is listed as requiring
GPRS is to "switch from the Internet to a phone call without losing either."
Numerous phones are listed as being compatable, *not* including the SE T62u.
When I called CS to inquire about specifics, I was told that it is only
available where
GPRS is available and that it is not implemented yet in
Dallas. Also, the software in *all* existing phones except one Blackberry
model is *not* capable of running the service.
Does anyone know the real story on this service? I want to access my mail
on MS Exchange with my T62u. Is there another method I can use with my
T62u? Is the information I got from the CS rep correct? It just doens't
ring true.
Any information will be appreciated.
