Anyone have any experience with roaming in Mexico? Especially the area
around Ramos Arizipe (just outside Saltillo)? I am looking for a service
that works in this area.

I used to work in that area as well - but you are in luck as there is fairly
decent coverage. AT&T has a wide band of coverage from Texas into Ramos
Arizpe/Saltillo and the west to Monterrey. You will lose signal on the
drive from Monterrey to RA (but then again, that is a MUCH safer airport).
My experience has been with TDMA - not sure what the GSM coverage is like in
that neck of the woods.
Enjoy Mexico - especially in the winter - and make sure you hit some of the
local spots. I found some great restaurants in and around the area, and the
mercado is fantastic (especially for Christmas gifts).

I travel to Mexico City a lot. GSM service is great through TelCel ...
Don't know about the rest of the country on GSM. Their GSM network is
growing pretty fast, so I hear.
