I was about to add Cingular wireless internet express to my phone
(choosing the no-monthly charge / pay by kb plan) when I read the
small print in the agreement. It said that my phone number will be
given to all sites that I visit and I may recieve unsolicted text
messages from them - and I, of course, will have to pay for them.
I didn't sign-up because I would literally get rid of my phone if I
started recieving spam text messages (or worse, sales calls) on my
cell phone.
Has anyone who signed up for Cingular wireless internet noticed that
they started getting spam text messages or calls?
Thanks.

Although I no longer have Cingular (I moved to an area they don't
serve), I was a WI customer for nearly a year and never received a
single unsolicited text message from anyone.
That same disclaimer was there back when I signed up too.
