They're both nice phones. Which one would you recommend, and why?
MOT720 is $159 - $50 rebate - $50 phone trade in = $50.
SAMSUNG X427 is $130 - $50 rebate = $80.
I plan to keep the chosen phone for 2-3 years.
Thanks,
Pat

Re: Samsung X427 vs Motrola 720
I got my Samsung X427 for $100.00 plus two $50.00 rebates this
weekend, so it's essentially free (AFTER 14 weeks of waiting I'm
sure!)

Re: Samsung X427 vs Motrola 720
Did you check out the Mot 720?
Also, I see from another thread that the Samsung S307 is also very popular.
Is that the smaller phone from Samsung? I think I looked at it next to the
X427 and found the S307 to be thicker and s bit too small (ie buttons,
screen) for easy use.

Re: Samsung X427 vs Motrola 720
Be careful with the $50 trade-in rebate. They did not pay mine. I sent a
working Motorola 3397 in along with all of the rebate paperwork.I was
talking to my wife on it when I pulled onto the lot at the Cingular
store and bought the T720. I got a check from Cingular for $50 in about
six weeks. When I called to ask why the check was short they replied
that "they had no record of receiveing a working wireless phone" and
that I had NO recourse. Nothing at all could be done to help me. BEWARE!

I just upgraded from a Nokia 3560 to the X427. So far great phone.
Loud Ringers, nice screen and great sound quality. The only reason I
chose it over the T720 is the stated battery life. The T720 had 2.75
hours and the X427 stated 5 hours. Also the X427 has a better screen.
I have only had the phone for about 2 days but so far I am very happy
with it. Cingular GSM is defintely better than the TDMA service.
Also, the phone is free after rebate.
