I was recently advised not to try and input codes into my T68i because
if it messed up for some reason the phone would be no good @ all
anymore. Well, I really can't find a solid answer via Google or other
search engines on where I could send my phone to have it unlocked and
here are the major issues harboring my decision.

    1. I am only finding places that want to give me codes to try &
unlock it and you need a cable to do this. If I read my phn correctly, I
only have 1 oppurtunity to input the correct unlock code OR its history.
Should I try the "self-cable" method if I was going to send it away
anyway or would that just make it harder for the person to fix/unlock?
Should I try a place like this for example? ->

    2. My Main dilema in ALL of this is just thinking I could get ALOT
more money for the phone if it was unlocked. I mean if I sold it for $50
LOCKED but could have sold it for $100 unlocked after paying $30 +
shipping to unlock it, is it really worth it? Basically the thing that
is getting me is I am seeing UN-locked T68i's on Ebay going for $175 and
up in some cases, so it really makes it tempting to do that.
    3. Finally, if I DID send it away, I just don't wanna get ripped
off -ie: send it to some hacker dude and never see the phone again!

Sorry for the many questions but as soon as it is sold, I promise I will
leave this group alone as I am going to Verizon.
Regardless, I am looking to sell it ASAP! On the verge of just putting
it on Ebay locked just to get it over with, but the xtra cash is very
tempting. It is only about 4mos old, comes with EVERYTHING in standard
package (box, manuals, etc...) in EC!

If I could get opinions on all of this, that would be great. OR even any
links/references you personally know of that may help me.

To all that respond, thank you very much.
Feel free to reply to my personal email as well.

    Hello!

Well then, just buy a Terminator Dongle on eBay and unlock the phone
    yourself
Probably flash it to newer version of firmware too
